John DeLorean - The Rise and Fall of the Man and His Car Company
We all know the name John DeLorean. We all know the DeLorean DMC-12. We’ve probably been driving down the road and seen one drive past, been to a car show and seen one on display, most likely kitted out to look like the one from the movie Back to the Future, the film that made a car that probably would have gone down as a failure become a cultural icon and collectable amongst movie and car enthusiasts.
John DeLorean started life as a working-class kid from Detroit who rose through the American auto industry to become the youngest division head General Motors had ever had. He then went on to build a car under his own name, only to watch the company collapse and to be arrested in a cocaine sting that made front pages around the world.
