The Journey of Natty Gann (1985)
Starring Meredith Salenger, John Cusack, and Jed, The Journey of Natty Gann follows a young girl during the Great Depression as she travels across the country to reunite with her father. Along the way, she befriends a wolf and a fellow traveler who teaches her how to ride the rails.

Bright Lights Big City (1988)
Based on the book of the same name, Bright Lights, Big City follows a young writer living in New York City who resorts to substance abuse in an attempt to escape the pain of losing his mother and being separated from his wife. He spends his nights partying with a friend and struggles to function during the day.

Northern Lights (1997)
In this episode of Overlooked, Jamie and Milo are joined by Allison McClain Merrill to discuss the 1997 film Northern Lights. The movie stars Diane Keaton, who finds out that her estranged brother Frank has died in a small town, and that she has a nephew she didn’t know about. This film first aired on the Disney Channel and since then Disney has tried to distance itself from the movie. In this review, we try to find out why.
